All of our group classes are limited to 6-8 dogs to ensure individualized attention and opportunities to learn. Group classes are 6 weeks in length and each class is 60 minutes (unless otherwise noted).
This 3-week class will provide an introduction to the requirements for doing therapy dog work. We will provide an overview of therapy dog work, professional expectations, basic skills, and a field trip for exposure to common environmental stimuli. We will assess you and your dog in terms of potential to be a successful therapy dog team. This class will NOT provide any certification for therapy dog work. Dogs must have had a prior basic obedience class and be at least 1 year old.
A very limited number of spots are available for private consultation/training based on availabillity. The initial consultation is $100 for 60 minutes. If you have a specific need or concern, please reach out using the Contact Us page to request more information.
Your dog’s most powerful and natural drive is to SNIFF and smell things with their nose. Learn how to turn that instinct into fun games that you can play around the house or to pursue the fun competition sports of NoseWork or Barn Hunt. We will use essential oil odors of clove, birch, and anise, along with your dog’s favorite reward (food or toy) to help shape and reinforce your dog’s instinct to ‘hunt’ for the odor and ultimately to ‘tell’ you they have found it with a trained final response. Dogs must be at least 6 months of age, be healthy and free of any injuries, and have had at least one basic obedience class.
Keep your dog fit and healthy through a variety of fun exercises and drills that will help limit injuries and simply keep your dog performing at the top of their game. We will focus on five exercise categories: cardio, flexibility, balance/strength, mental fittness, and confidence building. Handlers will benefit from understanding lure-reward based training methods. Dogs must be at least 6 months of age, be healthy and free of any injuries, and have had at least one basic obedience class.
This class will introduce dogs to the foundational elements of agility handling – primarily moving between simple obstacles and around a basic course with safety and working as a TEAM. The goals are to focus on body awareness, building confidence, and teamwork that will translate to future success. This is not a competition class, but instead designed to introduce any dog to the sport of agility in a fun and positive environment. Dogs must be at least 12 months of age, be healthy and free of any injuries, and have had at least one basic obedience class.
A very limited number of spots are available for private consultation/training based on availability. The initial consultation is $100 for 60 minutes. If you have a specific need or concern, please reach out using the Contact Us page to request more information.
All classes are $175 and run for 6 weeks.
